Are patients with prior strip procedures a candidate for a Hair By Robotics ARTAS procedure?

,

I am frequently contacted by patients that had other types of hair transplants, from plugs to strip (FUT) procedures, leaving scaring in the donor area. These patients want more hair, but are reluctant to do another procedure. Patients share painful memories of their prior procedures &/or the complications associated with the outdated, strip method. They wish to pursue a less invasive solution for hair restoration, utilizing the most advance technology.

After strip procedures, the scalp is typically very tight. After one or more procedures, many patients are told that they are no longer a good candidate for additional transplants. Even when flexibility in the scalp is present, removing more tissue further strips the scalp, and increases the likelihood of greater scarring. When performing Robotic FUE on patients with prior surgeries, we are able to program the robot to avoid scarred areas. In this case, the donor density might be adequate to achieve the desired goal, despite limitations with the strip procedure. Robotic FUE allows us to remove hair from areas of higher density selectively, without removing segments of tissue.

At Hair by Robotics, our goal is to give patients more hair while decreasing the odds of creating or increasing scarring in the donor area. We want to leave the donor area as aesthetically appealing as possible, while increasing your hair density.

Every patient is unique and must treated accordingly and evaluated. Hair By Robotics offers a free, personal consultation to discuss your goals. In most cases, we have an option for men and women who have undergone other transplant procedures. Contact us today!
